PS Architecture Ltd is a general architectural practice based in Ealing, London W5 that offers Architects services in London and Planning advice in London to domestic and commercial clients. We also offer architectural services further afield, beyond the boundaries of Greater London.

We know that many clients do not understand what an architect actually does or whether they even need an architect for the building project they are thinking about. This is why we are always keen to follow each and every enquiry with a free consultation, on a no committment basis, so that we can meet a potential client to discuss their particular needs and to give initial advice about the feasibilty of what they are thinking about. Our advice about feasibility will focus upon matters such as whether planning permission will or will not be required, about budget costings and about what type of design solution would be most suitable. An initial consultation will usually last about half an hour.

Following the initial free consultation, we will always confirm our advice about feasibility in a letter which will also include a quotation about the fees we would suggest for the type of architectural services to be provided.

For domestic clients, who require our services to assist them in realising their ideas for an extension to a family home or a flat, our quotation will always be for a fixed fee, rather than for a percentage of the cost of the building work, which is how many architects calculate their charges. We prefer to quote a fixed fee because we know from experience that it gives certainty to our clients about how much the architects fees are going to be and will not change.

For commercial projects and large scale residential work we would normally expect to provide fee quotations on the basis of a percentage of the final construction cost.

We currently do not add VAT to our fees
